These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and MyTeamPoint ("we", "us") that governs your use of the MyTeamPoint website and service at myteampoint.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or team, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
1. What the Service is
MyTeamPoint lets you reach Windows, Mac and Linux devices that you own or control from your browser. You install a small agent on each device. The agent connects out to our relay, the device appears in your grid with its status and stats, and you can open sessions on it from the browser. The Service is a way to reach your devices - the devices themselves, and everything on them, remain yours and your responsibility.
2. Your account
Sign-in does not use a password: you confirm it is you with a one-time code sent to your email or phone, or you sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to those accounts secure, and for everything done through your MyTeamPoint account. Tell us at support@myteampoint.com right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Your devices and your responsibility
You may only add devices that you own or are explicitly authorized to manage. When you invite members to a workspace or share a device, you are responsible for what those people are allowed to do on it. Actions taken in a session (changing settings, deleting files, running programs) take effect on your real device - review them before you confirm them.
Some features reach other people: the person at a computer you chat with, hear or send files to, the contacts your help desk writes to, and the devices on a network you scan. You are responsible for having the right to do this. Tell the people who use your organization's computers that remote sessions, chat, sound and file transfer may be used; write to contacts only about their requests; and scan only networks your organization may scan, which you confirm before the first scan.
Some features act for your clients: invoices, quotes and assessments go to the contacts you choose, your booking page takes bookings, and Microsoft 365 tenants and antivirus consoles are read with your client's permission. You are responsible for your documents, your prices and taxes, and for having your client's permission to read their tenant or console. The Service does not give tax or legal advice: check that your invoices meet the rules of your country.
Automation, the AI assistant, the AI features and AI assistants you connect act only through approvals. A rule you approve runs by itself within its limits until its approval ends; what an AI writes is a draft or a suggestion that changes nothing until a person applies or approves it.
AI can be wrong. Read what it wrote before you apply, send or approve it; you remain responsible for what you approve and send.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- access devices, accounts or data you are not authorized to access;
- send spam, host malware or phishing content, or otherwise break the law;
- probe, disrupt or overload the Service or other people's devices and networks;
- use the help desk or its e-mail to send messages people did not ask for, or forward to our mail receiver anything but your own support mail;
- scan networks or devices that your organization does not own or is not allowed to scan;
- send invoices, quotes or booking messages that are false, that impersonate someone, or that ask for payment that is not owed;
- use the AI features to write malware or unlawful content, or try to make them act beyond your role or read other customers' data;
- resell the Service or offer it under another name without our written agreement (showing your own business details on your client documents, as the Service allows, is fine); or
- attempt to bypass plan limits or security measures, including device limits and session controls.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.
5. Plans and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or yearly cycle and renew automatically until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time from the Billing page of your account; cancelling stops future charges and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. The limits of each plan (devices, users and sharing) are the ones shown on our pricing page. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.
Plans also have allowances for file storage, automation rules, scheduled reports, public API calls, Microsoft 365 tenants, scheduled assessments and AI messages, shown on the pricing page. At an allowance the feature stops until the next period or a larger plan.
Online payments from your clients are made through your own Stripe account under your agreement with Stripe (Stripe Connect). Stripe, not MyTeamPoint, processes the payment, pays it out to you and handles refunds and disputes; MyTeamPoint takes no fee on these payments and holds no money for you.
6. Your data and privacy
Everything on your devices, and everything you do in your sessions, remains yours. We receive only what we need to run the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not access your devices except to provide the Service or as required by law.
Stripe, Microsoft, the antivirus vendors and the AI providers are separate companies. Their own terms govern your use of their services, and we are not responsible for their services.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to MyTeamPoint and its licensors. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our name or branding, or to copy or reverse-engineer the Service, except where the law allows it regardless of these Terms.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided without uptime guarantees and we may change, add or retire features over time. While the Service is unavailable you cannot open sessions through it, but your devices themselves keep running.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyTeamPoint will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination your right to use the Service ends and your devices stop appearing in your grid. The files and programs on the devices themselves are not touched.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will give you reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
