Download MyTeamPoint

The app for Windows, Mac and Linux. Install it on the computer you want to reach, then open it from any browser.

Preparing the download…

What you may see while it downloads and opens

Your browser may say the file is not commonly downloaded.

Choose to keep it.

Blue box: "Windows protected your PC. Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting."
Press More info, then Run anyway.
Or: "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?"
Press Run.
Yellow box: "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?"
Press Yes. This is the one approval; it installs the background part of MyTeamPoint.
"Smart App Control blocked an app that may be unsafe", with no button to continue.
This PC only allows signed apps. MyTeamPoint is not signed yet, so it cannot be installed on this PC for now.

Then

  1. Let it connect. The MyTeamPoint app opens by itself. Press Connect this PC: it shows a code and opens your browser on a page with that code. Nothing to type.
  2. Press Add device. Check that the code on the page matches the one in the window, then press Add device. This page shows your PC as soon as it connects.

MyTeamPoint Remote for Windows

Open your computers from this Windows PC, each in its own window: full screen on any monitor, the Windows keys go to the remote computer, and it reconnects by itself. Included in every plan.

Preparing the download…
  1. Download and open it. It installs for you only, with no administrator password and nothing running in the background.
  2. Sign in. The app opens this website in your browser: sign in as usual and approve it. Your second factor and single sign-on work as they do here.
  3. Open a device. Pick a computer from your list: it opens in its own window.
Does it need administrator rights?

No. It installs into your own Windows account and updates itself the same way. Nothing is installed for other people on the PC.

Is it the same as the MyTeamPoint app?

No. The MyTeamPoint app goes on the computer you want to reach. MyTeamPoint Remote goes on the computer you sit at, to open the others.

Which keys reach the remote computer?

While its window has the keyboard, the Windows key, Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Esc and Alt+Esc go to the remote computer. A switch in the window's Keyboard menu turns this off. Ctrl+Alt+Del is under Keys in the toolbar.

Is the connection direct?

It connects straight to the computer when the two can reach each other, and through MyTeamPoint's own servers otherwise. Either way it is encrypted.

How do I sign it out or remove it?

Use Sign out in the app's Account menu, or end its session in Account, Sessions on this website. Remove it in Windows Settings, Apps.
